Beginning snowfall in Greenfield, the Rockfish Valley of Nelson County, VA, just after 10 AM EST
Snow continues to fall across most of Central Virginia at this hour. Wrecks are starting to occur in portions of the area as well. Mainly north and east of Nelson at this time, but roads are slowly becoming slick. Let’s be careful out there!

A SNOW ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EST THIS EVENING.
LIGHT SNOW HAS DEVELOPED OUT AHEAD OF A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM
CURRENTLY OVER THE MIDWEST. THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO INTENSIFY FOR
A PERIOD DURING THE AFTERNOON…BEFORE ENDING THIS EVENING. 1 TO 3 INCHES
OF SNOW IS EXPECTED.
A SNOW ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY
TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND
LIMITED VISIBILITIES…AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
