Benefit for Nelson Pantry
Lovingston, Virginia
One of the volunteers at this past weekend’s event places a donation in the barrel at the beginning of the day. The goal for the event was $5000.00.
The weather cooperated and Saturday was the day in downtown Lovingston. The Lovingston Opry sponsored the 1st annual Food for the Holidays Block Party to raise money for the Nelson Pantry. Trish Becker of the Opry said she was disappointed that more folks wern’t able to have a turkey during the holidays, so she decided to have the event that included all types of fun and entertainment.
In keeping with the old west and opry tradition, horse rides along with buggy rides were part of the fun!
No event would be complete without balloons for the kids, think they like them!
Tunes played well after dark to entertain the crowd.
