Nelson Farmers Market
Nellysford, Virginia
A scene from this past weekend’s Farmers’ Market in Nellysford. Above Jim & Linda Staton along with Jim Davey provided music at the market. If you haven’t been out yet this year, make it a point to go next Saturday. It runs every Saturday morning through Mid-October.
Monday was another beautiful day across Nelson County. Though we started out chilly, you could even say cold, the heater finally got plugged in by noon and we reached the lower 70’s at locations in the valley. We had lunch on the deck at Stoney Creek Bar & Grill with DOC the famous radio sportscaster. It was absolutely gorgeous! With high pressure in charge of our weather what you saw on Monday is pretty much the rule for the remainder of the week. There is a chance for cloudiness to back in here from the east on Wednesday, but I don’t have much faith in that at the moment. Regardless, temperatures will be warming up starting today through the coming weekend.
Tropical Storm Ingrid that we’ve been talking about for the past week has finally weakened to the state it’s no longer considered a tropical cyclone. It’s still a disturbance, but not much more. If it reemerges over the coming days we’ll keep you posted.
