severe thunderstorm. This storm was located near Crozet…and
moving east at 10 mph. Another strong storm was located just west
of the Charlottesville Airport also moving slowly east.

At 503 PM EDT…Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm 4 miles
east of Fishersville…moving southeast at 20 mph.
This storm will be capable of producing wind gusts to 50 mph.
The communities of Waynesboro and Afton mountain will be affected by
this storm.
459 PM EDT Mon may 28 2007
…A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 530 PM EDT
for Nelson County…
At 455 PM EDT…National Weather Service Doppler radar continued to
indicate a severe thunderstorm capable of producing penny size
hail…and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm was
located over Elma…moving northeast at 20 mph.
The severe thunderstorm will be near Elma…Rockfish…Faber through
530 PM EDT.
