Good Sunday to everyone!

What a very nice weekend so far. Sunday’s even better!

Saturday’s weather was great for folks to get out and enjoy the beautiful day. Paul caught this Mainstreet Muscle Car Show over in Waynesboro where folks were checking out the rides! Nelson’s own, Eileen O’Rourke, who lives in Pilot Mountain Hollow is the chairwoman of the promotions committee for the event. She pretty much put the whole thing together and made it happen. Cool rides!

On the current surface map below a weak trough (the hatched lines) is in the area. That provided early morning clouds and light showers, mainly west of the BRP. There is a cold front to our NW that will slowly owrk through here over the next 24 hours. Don’t look for much impact from this. Lots of high pressure is in the area that will keep us in fair weather.

On the forecast map below there’s lots of high pressure ready to take control. The cold front mentioned to our north and west that may influence our weather a bit by Monday, mainly some coulds moving by from time to time, but right now it looks very weak and lots of high pressure should make its approach a non-event.

Sunday look for some clouds to linger but I think we’ll see plenty of sun as well. Temps warm nicely to around 80 valley and upper 60’s mountains. It will again be a breezy day from time to time with westerly winds at 10-15 MPH, some higher gusts.

Monday looks dry with highs around 80.

Sunday has lots going on. One you don’t want to miss is an opening reception from 3-5 PM at Spruce Creek Gallery just south of Nellysford on 151. Stan Driver of Riverside Nursery is holding a plant sale and Susan Viemeister of Garden Trade will be talking about The Art of Color in your Garden. Also look for Patricia Whitlocks 2007 Spring Paintings in the gallery while you are there. It’s all part of their Garden & Art Weekend at Spruce Creek. See you there!

Have a great Sunday!
