Hard to believe that it’s been two years since the last Animal House Ball to benefit Almost Home Pet Adoption Center here in Nelson. This was the first time the event was held at the Carriage House on Oak Ridge Estate in Arrington. What a beautiful place and a great event. We’ll have much more on this in the June issue but here’s preview.
Below Bo Newell owner of Mountain Area Realty auctions of some of the really cool things at this year’s event.
Here Taylor Smack, left , co-owner of the soon to open Blue Mountain Brewery in Afton, Bruce Flight of Richmond (center) and Mandi Smack (far right) Taylor’s wife and marketing manager of the brewery, chat it up with Yvette before the auction begins.
Below John Croxall of Wintergreen Resort Premier Properties (far left) introduces himself to Jeff Vogelgesang and his wife Jan Smith of Heards Mountain. Jeff and Jan donated their music as part of a package that auctioned off for about $4000.00 That will help out a lot of animals!
George McKinney of Stoney Creek (right) stops for a pose with Yvette in the lobby of the new carriage house addition at Oak Ridge.
The attendance at this year’s ball was terrific! The ball room was packed and everyone had a great time.
We’ll have lots more in June’s NCL!
